BlackBerry World and the PlayBook
I atteneded the BlackBerry World Conference this past week and being my first time and Universal Mind being a sponsor I thought it was great.
The conference was much bigger then I expected I think the total number of attendees were around 6,000 so not to shabby. I did get the chance to see some of the keynotes which were very interesting, especially the Innovation focused talks. They had Dean Kamen he talked about some of his inventions and his organization First, which was fantastic.
Another exciting thing was that all attendees received a free PlayBook, which was great. So it was rather interesting seeing everyone carrying and using the playbook during the conference.
We also had a surprise guest show up in the booth, Mike Lazaridis the CEO and Pres. of RIM. We showed him some of the apps we are showcasing on the PlayBook and he was very excited to see what we have been doing. Also another person that stopped by was Kevin from crackberry.com, he shot some video of our CEO in the booth showing off some of the apps on the PlayBook.

I thought Bberry was going to be awesome, bought one and the software for mac didn’t even exist yet… too bad, it could have been awesome.
