President Jamie DiDomenico announced today that
the NARHL will join forces with the Michigan Elite
Roller Hockey League to double the size of the
league and extend its footprint further up the
East Coast.
The NARHL will now be split up into two divisions
with the Marple Gladiators, Boston Terror, South
Jersey Ottakringer, Delaware Blue Diamond Blades,
and Philadelphia Firebirds all competing in the
Mid-Atlantic division. The Granville Gators, Grand
Rapids RiverFrogs, Kalamazoo Jones Soda, and Muskegon
Comets will make up the Great Leakes Division.
"We are extremely excited to join forces with
the MERHL. By joining the leagues, we are bringing
some of the most talented players in the United
States together. This is the step we needed to
take to become the premier roller hockey league
in North America," said DiDomenico. The league
plans on having two weekends during the season
of crossover games. This will allow a team from
each division the opportunity to see possible
opponents for the championship trophy. In May,
the winner of the Mid-Atlantic division will face
the winner of the Great Leakes Division for the
league championship.
The MERHL site will be moving the information
to out new league site in the next few weeks please
